Happy Birthday Mom!

We want to extend a "Very Happy Birthday" wish to my mom today. Thanks for all you do for us and here's to another 47 more!

It's a BOY!!!!

Well, it's definite - we are expecting a baby BOY! As many of you can guess we are so excited, especially Aaron. We weren't suppose to find out the sex until about 25-28 weeks (my doctor's practice does the second ultrasound a little later than most). However, due to my history I had to go to a specialist today. We were crossing our fingers that they would do an ultrasound, and they did! We had an extensive ultrasound done that measured the baby's development. Because the ultrasound was so extensive, we got a good look at the baby, esepcially since the ultrasound lasted almost an hour. The baby is developing normally, and everything looks good. I still I to go to the specialist to be monitored again in 4 weeks, but that is ok. I'd rather get the extra attention for a safe pregnancy than take any risk. We got lots of pictures of the baby from the ultrasound. The one above is the best profile picture we received, and the one below is the money shot to prove its a boy.

Well, I told Rebecca that she wasn't the only one who had seen a black squirrel, and that I'd post the pictures I had. Aaron & I saw this squirrel by the Newton Library. I wasn't sure what to think either which is why I took the pictures. Rebecca - we now have more than just our pregnancies to bond over!

Let It Snow!!

All week we have been hearing about the big weather system that was headed our way. All the news stations were talking about winter weather, which basically means in our neck of the woods - sleet and ice - no snow. Anytime snow is mentioned in a forecast there is a little excitement about the possibility of snow, but we all know it usually results in possibly a few snow flurries, but mostly just lots of ice and bad driving conditions. Well, I wasn't expecting much at all - especially since the last real snow I can even remember was the blizzard back when I was in middle school.

Well yesterday I was spending time at my mom and dad's when mom called from work and said "Did you know it was snowing?" Hearing that I decided I better head home just in case it were to turn into something. When I walked outside I was surprised at how hard it was snowing. The closer I got home the harder it was snowing, and it was actually starting to stick to the ground. Within about an hour or so we had a nice little layer of snow on the ground! It was so exciting! Unfortunately, it was short lived. Later the snow just turned to a wintery mix of rain and sleet, and washed all our beautiful snow away. This morning was just like any other - wet and muddy. However, we were able to savor the snow while it lasted. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Dodger and Dixie enjoyed thier first snow experience. I only wish they had a little more time to play.

I've been BITTEN!

Ok, so I had to let you guys know about the new fashion line by Sarah Jessica Parker called BITTEN. I saw the line on Oprah yesterday and fell in love. The line consists of American sportswear that you can wear everyday (sizes 0-22), and the best part is that everything is under $20! Half Way There - 20 week update

So everyone (especially Rebecca) has been asking me to post some belly pics, so this is for you guys. This Friday I will be 20 weeks and will be at the half-way mark. Aaron & I are very excited, especially since my belly has just started showing in about the last 2 weeks. I am feeling great! I know everyone is wondering whether we are having a boy or girl, and the truth is we don't know yet. I won't have an ultrasound for a few more weeks, so be patient. As soon as we find out I can guarantee that we will be posting our news. Until then we are praying for a happy and healthy baby.
