Busy, Busy, Busy!

This past week we were extremely busy, which explains why I'm just now getting to update. I posted a shoutout to my sister Beth who turned 24 one week ago today. That afternoon a bunch of us surprised her with lunch. She had no idea, and we had a great time celebrating her birthday. My childhood friend Jennifer Eoff was also in town last week, and we were able to spend some time together at Beth's celebration.

Friday night Aaron and Beth had a softball game where they redeemed themselves from last week. They still lost, but only by one run. Those of you who saw the previous week's game know what I'm talking about.

My cousin Rebecca is expecting a little boy in July. We are about 7 weeks apart in our due dates. She had her family baby shower this weekend. She is currently living in Virginia, so she came into town on Thursday for the week. Her sisters Rachel and Alison also came from Utah, and Rachel is actually moving back to GA - Yay!! Everyone was in town and we were able to spend a little time together at the shower.

Birthday Wishes All Around...

I just want to give a shout out to my sister Beth who turns 24 today! Happy Birthday Girl!

I also want to wish my very good friend Missy a Happy Birthday.

Upward Soccer Season Starts

This past Saturday was the start of the Upward Soccer season. Aaron coaches 1st - 3rd grade boys, and my sister Beth (who needs to start blogging) coaches 4th - 6th grade girls. The day started off a little dreary, but by the the afternoon, and the start of Aaron's game the day was beautiful. I even have the sunburn to prove it. Since this is the first season of Upward Soccer, referees are hard to come by, so it is up to the coaches to ref their own games. Aaron did a great job and so did his players. They played a great game, and won 5-2. Beth girl's played next, but lost 3-2 (I think). Everyone seemed to have a great time, and we are looking forward to the next several weeks as the season progresses. I've posted some pictures of both games. Hope you enjoy.

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep...

I received part of Levi's nursery bedding this week. I was so excited I had to go ahead and get the crib ready for him. I think it is just adorable. I tried to go with something pretty neutral so that I could use it with either a boy or a girl. I am really pleased with how it looks. The teddy bear in the corner is one that my dad's aunt made for me for my first Christmas. I had been looking for it for a while, so I'm thrilled that mom came across it.

Holey Board & Chicken

Sunday night after ultimate several of us got together for dinner at our friends Kevin & Gincy's house. We had a great time playing an old family favorite - Holey Board, and eating some of Kevin's delicious chicken. Thanks for having us over guys!

Showers of Blessings

This weekend I was given two showers. Beth & Amy threw a shower for all of my friends to attend, and then Mrs. Donna Long threw a shower for all the church ladies. It was a time of fun, games, and fellowship. We were completely blessed by all the generous gifts and outpouring of love that everyone shared with us. Thanks to everyone who came out and celebrated Levi's pending arrival with us. We love you all! Here are a couple of pictures from the two showers. I have to give Amy some credit. She made the green and white blanket below. I think she did a pretty amazing job.

50 Days to Go!

That's right there are only 50 more days until our little man is scheduled to debut. We are so excited and looking forward to meeting the newest addition to our family.

Nursery

Aaron and I have been working extremely hard on getting the nursery ready for Levi. This past weekend we spent much of Saturday cleaning out closets and exercise equipment to make room for baby furniture. Most of the furniture we are using are things passed down from Aaron's parents. The rocker belongs to Aaron's mom and she is gracious enough to let us use it. The toy chest was Aaron's when he was little, and the changing table belonged to his parents as well. Aaron's grandfather made both the toy chest and the changing table, so they are extra special since they are family pieces. Many of you have been asking for pictures, so I thought I would include a couple of pictures of some of the things we've put into the nursery. Although the nursery isn't completed yet, it is well on it's way.

Silver Turtles

This past weekend we went to a cookout with several of our friends. We had a great time cooking silver turtles (meat and potatoes in aluminum foil) and playing games. Here are a few pictures from our fun night.
