“Serve the LORD in sincerity and in truth... Choose you this day whom you will serve.
But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Joshua 24:14-16

Get Me Out!

I shot this video about two weeks ago. I guess Levi was trying to get our attention so we would get up and get him out of the bassinet. Since this video, Levi has moved out of the bassinet and into his crib. He is doing well since the move to the crib, and it didn't interrupt his sleeping habits at all.

Fall is Here!

I am so excited that fall is on it's way. The days have been so nice with the cooler weather setting in, and leaves beginning to change. I decided it was time for a little celebrating before the weather gets too cold to enjoy, so I've been trying to be outside a little more and I changed my blog to welcome in the weather. In Georgia it usually only stays nice for a few weeks, so I'm trying to soak up the nice weather before dreadful winter shows it's ugly head.

First Tooth!!

Well, I'm not sure if you can see it good in the picture, but Levi has cut his first tooth! I believe that is why the thumb sucking has started. He has been a little cranky and whiny for the past week, so I'm glad the tooth finally came through. One down, only 19 or so to go!

Thumb Sucker

Since Levi was born I have had the philosophy that it would be better for him to be attached to a pacifier than his thumb. At least you can take the pacifier away when you are ready. The thumb is a little harder. Well, after much energy spent, that plan has failed...miserably. We were doing good up until this week. Now all he wants to do it suck his thumb. I am still trying to deter him from the thumb, but we'll see how it goes.

Laughter is the Best Medicine

Today Levi was a little whiny and irritable for most of the morning. I had gotten him to sleep several times, but when I would go to lay him down he kept waking up. Needless to say he needed a nap, and I was becoming a little frustrated. I was just about to lose my mind when I started making this silly sound and he just started laughing hysterically. I had to get it on video for you all to see. I guess it goes without saying that once he started smiling and laughing my frustrations melted away. Hope you all enjoy his little chuckle.

The Best Husband

I have the BEST husband ever! Yesterday morning I woke up with a fever of 102, a sore throat, and an earache. Aaron had to go to work, but took care of me and got me all settled with Levi before he headed out. As the day went on I began to feel better and my fever went back down to normal, but my throat was still quite sore. When Aaron left work he called to see if there was anything I needed. He stopped by the store and picked up some juice and gingerale. When he got home he made homemade chicken-n-dumplings for dinner. It was delicious! He had also bought me the book I Love You Stinky Face that I've been wanting to get for Levi. Jessica introduced me to the book and I've been wanting it ever since. Aaron was so thoughtful and helpful. He is the best. This morning my fever was back up to 100, so I'm going to the doctor this afternoon. It's nice to know that I have someone so loving and caring. I am truly blessed. I love you Aaron!

Rub-a-dub-dub

I just thought you all might enjoy this picture of Levi getting his bath.

Tampa Vacation

We spent this past week on vacation in Tampa, Florida. Aaron has always loved the ocean, and living in Rio only grew his love for the water; therefore almost every vacation we go on is to the beach. We dodged Hurricane Gustav, and had fabulous weather the whole time we were there. Aaron was glad the hurricane was nearby because it made the waves in the gulf nice and big. This was Levi's first vacation, and he loved the ocean! We put his feet in and then he sat with me with his feet in the water. When I took him out of the water he cried! Aaron loves the ocean, so he is happy Levi has a love for the water too. On Tuesday we went to Fort De Soto Park and Beach. We had a good time touring the fort and enjoying the beach until I twisted my knee. I was in the ocean and turned my back to a wave while I was walking out. It was stronger than I thought and it knocked me down twisting my knee. My knee swelled to the size of a grapefruit and that put a damper on the rest of our beach plans. On Wednesday we decided to go to the Tampa Zoo, since I couldn't walk or go to the beach. Aaron rented a wheelchair and pushed me around the whole zoo all while attending to Levi. It was quite an adventure to say the least.

100 Days!

Levi is 100 days old!
This evening we celebrated that 100 days ago God blessed us with our handsome and curious baby boy. A big thanks to Aunt Lou and Aunt Beth for making some delicious cupcakes for us to enjoy during our little celebration.
