A LOT! Aaron and I take the names of our children very seriously. Maybe a little too seriously, but we want our children to know that they were named for very specific reasons with God, love, and family in mind. We like to use Biblical names for their first name and family names for the middle
name. Everyone has been asking me about the name of our little girl and until recently we hadn't decided on a name for her. Right before our trip to Texas we decided on a name and I've commented on the name in my previous post in the comment section, but for those of you dying to know what name we've chosen for out little girl and haven't read those comments - here it is...
Naomi Elizabeth
Naomi is Hebrew for Beautiful or Gentle.
Elizabeth is Hebrew for God is my oath. We always have stories behind our kids names so here is the story behind her name. Aaron and I were both hoping for a little boy (I know what woman wouldn't want a little girl - but I am different). When we found out we were having a girl we were slightly disappointed, but the anticipation of her arrival has brought so much excitement to our lives. We were wrestling between two names when a few weeks ago Aaron was listening to the radio and heard an interview with a man. In the interview the man was speaking of how they had an unexpected addition to their family and what a
beautiful blessing it had been. We already knew that Naomi meant beautiful, but we had only looked at it from one perspective - a physical beauty. We had entirely overlooked the
beautiful spiritual aspect from God. Having a little girl is going to be an entirely new adventure for us. Her coming into our lives is going to be a
beautiful blessing to our entire family. Now we see beautiful in a new way. Not only will she be full of physical beauty (I mean how could she not be the most beautiful girl in the world?), but she is going to bring a beauty to our family we've never imagined before. Her middle name Elizabeth is also special to us because we are naming her after my great-grandmother. Grannie Bone has been such an example of a godly woman to us, and has led our family in faith for so many years. She celebrated her 90
th birthday 2 weeks ago and we wanted to honor her in this way.
We are so blessed and so excited to meet our new baby girl!

For Halloween this year Levi was a Kissing Booth. I can't take all the credit for the idea since I saw something similar online, but I loved how it turned out and that it costs me nothing! Here are a few pictures of us at the hoopla at my parents church and at our church's trunk or treat. Levi had lots of fun and has really been enjoying what little candy we've allowed him to have. However, I think his favorite part has been the hayrides at both events.

The Sound of Music is my favorite movie of all time. Seriously - my favorite. I absolutely love the story and of course the music. I probably have every single song memorized (and most of the dialogue at that). I'm not sure what exactly it is about this movie that makes it so wonderful, but it has always had a special place in my heart. Today on Oprah (disclaimer: I do not normally watch Oprah, but heard this was going to be on so I made an exception) they had a Sound of Music reunion show. I loved being taken back to that moment when I first watched it and hearing about all the behind the scenes stories. If you haven't ever seen it I strongly recommend you do. I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to snuggle on the couch and watch this with me. Here are a few clips from some of my favorite scenes.
I have less than 12 weeks before this sweet little girl makes her debut. Where has my time gone?? 
Our trip to Texas was very enjoyable. We were able to spend lots of much needed quality time with family while also enjoy some of the sites of Forth Worth. Aaron's parents took Levi out a day early since we had the Dave Ramsey seminar. Aaron & I arrived Sunday night and the trip was quite nice with the exception of some horrible roads along the way. Mississippi really needs some interstate work for sure. Anyway, when we arrived on Sunday night enjoyed a delicious BBQ dinner with Aunt Kitty and Uncle Terry. Monday and Tuesday we spent some down time with family. Wednesday we headed to the Forth Worth Zoo. Levi loves animals so he was in heaven at the zoo. We saw tons of animals, but his favorite were the lions, tigers, and the birds pictures in the top left. He also loved the train ride at the end of the day.
Thursday we went to Fossil Rim. It is a drive-thru animal safari place where the animals roam free and you can feed them from your car. We have been several times (almost every trip to Texas), but we enjoy it more and more every time. Levi thought it was so cool to be able to see the animals up close, and he really got a kick out of the animals putting their heads in the car. I think the giraffes were our favorite part.
Friday morning we got up super early and headed home. Levi rode home with us, and he did AMAZING! Actually, amazing doesn't even cover it. He was beyond amazing. He sat in the back seat, watched movies, sang songs, talked to us, and not once on the entire 15 hour drive did he complain. We were both blown away. I was so proud of him, so this is my moment of bragging - sorry. The trip was a great success. We were able to see lots of family that we miss very much. We are already missing them and looking forward to our next visit, especially since we'll have our new addition with us next time. Until then, I will say that it is nice to be home and in my own bed. 
Last Friday night Beth, Amy, and myself went to the Braves games. They played the team we hate the most - the Phillies. Unfortunately, they lost the game, but were still able to get a place in the playoffs. We've been keeping up with their progress and cheering them on. So far they are behind in the series 1-2. Hopefully we'll win the next two games and go to the next round. I think another World Series would be great for out Atlanta Braves.
