“Serve the LORD in sincerity and in truth... Choose you this day whom you will serve.
But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Joshua 24:14-16

Love is always bestowed as a gift - Freely, willingly, and without expectation. We don't love to be loved; We love to love. - Leo Buscaglia
Aaron & I are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary today! There are so many reasons that I love Aaron, but this past year I have seen a new side of this amazing man. With the addition of Levi to our family, I have seen Aaron develop into the most wonderful father, and I love it. He has always been beyond outstanding, but seeing him be a father to Levi has been one of the greatest things I have ever witnessed. I don't know how I could love him anymore than I do right now, but I look forward to trying. Here's to the rest of our lives...

One Small Step

...one giant leap for Levi! Yesterday Levi started taking several steps all my himself. He has been walking for a while now, and will walk anywhere if you hold his hand, but he is getting braver and braver. It won't be long now.

My first Mother's Day

Although I'm the mother to a one year old...almost, this was my first Mother's Day. It was totally awesome thanks to a very special little boy and his Papa. I love you both!

First Haircut

While we were in Texas, Levi got his first haircut. Aaron's granddad is a barber and gave Aaron his first haircut, so we thought it would be cool if he could cut Levi's hair while we were visiting. We drove down to the shop Friday afternoon. We were hoping that Levi would sleep on the way so that he would be a in good mood while he was getting it done. It didn't quite work that way. Levi refused to nap and basically cried the whole time. However, Granddad did an awesome job and Levi looks as cute as ever.

Not Too Shabby

We just wanted to thank everyone who donated money in order to vote for Levi to become the "Face of Life" for the Georgia Right to Life campaign. Voting ended last night and Levi came in 4th place. Although he won't be featured as the "Face of Life," $1240.00 was raise in Levi's name to help fight and bring an end to abortion. That's not too shabby if you ask me. So a HUGE thank you to everyone who participated. If you'd like to see the final results you can click here.

Happy Birthday Amy!

Tuesday was my sister Amy's 23rd birthday! I know this post is a little late, but we were out of town and I haven't had enough time to give this post the tlc it needed. So here's to you Amy! We hope this year is filled with all kinds of wonderful surprises and blessings from above. We love you Aunt Lou!!

Texas

We're Back! We have been in Texas for the last week visiting Aaron's family. This trip was special because most of the family has never seen Levi prior to this trip (except for pictures). We left Tuesday morning, and Levi did wonderful on his first plane ride. Everyone commented on how well he behaved on the plane. We spent our first evening relaxing and catching up with Phil & Delores at their home. Levi had lot of fun playing with their grandson, Clive, and all of Clive's cool toys. We then spent the next couple of days with Granny Bea & Pa. While there we were able to see Aaron's Aunt Nancy & Uncle Bobby and his cousin Chanda. One day we went to Fossil Rim, a drive-thru safari type place where they have all kinds of animals like zebra, giraffe, and rhinos. Levi loved seeing all the animals. We also saw the blue bonnets in bloom and had a few relaxing days just hanging out and catching up with family. Toward the end of our trip we drove down to Lake Whitney a couple of days and visited with Kitty & Terry and their family. We saw Grandad, who gave Levi his first haircut (I'll be posting a separate post about it soon). We spent our last full day visiting the zoo in Waco with Kitty, Shera, and Joe Joe. We had a great time seeing everyone, and hope to see you all again real soon. Enjoy the video below. It is of Levi feeding one of the deer at Fossil Rim.
